Default Car Audio interior upgrade

I'm also wanting to replace the whole inside car audio.

Front Component System - http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...OS&ser=GTI

2 Back Loud speakers - http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...EL&ser=GTS

I got a RF P4004 400w x 4 Amp already, but is there another component system out there that has more power? I cant really find any, I found a set of Polk I think that offer 200w RMS but only 400 Peak, while the JBL is 150w RMS and 600w peak. Opinions?

Thanks Again

Brad

Speakers do not have power. Speakers absorb electric current through an electromagnetic mechanism that linearly moves the cone and produces heat. No component set has more power, but a higher rated comp set can turn more electrical pulses into sound.

I the only JBL speaker I have like was a sub, there full ranges and compslack in the sq and output departments.

Rear fill is completely pointless andyou would be much better bridging the amp to a set of really nice front comps.

If you don't have a sub, you could also run comps off channels 1 and 2 and a sub off 3 and 4.

Please provide a budget and scope for the project, then I can help you get an awesome stereo foryour budget.

What are you comparing your gto's to? I am assuming by raising the sound stage you just mounted the tweeters in the a pillar or a location higher then the speaker.

front speakers: CDT Audio EF-61FG/TW25 PRO CDT Audio EuroFrame 6.5" 2 Way Component w/ Upgraded TW-25 Tweeter ($250)
subwoofer: diamond audio D912D2 12" dual 2 ohm ($360)
Rear fill: diamond audio D372i 5x7 2-way($90)
mono amp: Kicker ZX750.1 ($300)

just my opinion should give you nice SQ and that subwoofer will give you plenty of bass and youll stil have around 500 for dynamat and you could build or buy a box

For the price of those CDT EF's I would spend the extra $50 on last years ES. The top of the line speakers from last year are only $299!!!!

Rear fill does not lend to good sq.

Why is there no amp for the front comps. Your not going to get good sound out of a set of power hungry CDT's with power from an HU.

in reality you dont need to rear stage to get good sound, but to say for the absolute best you dont need rear fill is wrong we compete in SQ M5 class we recently ttook 2cnd in the nation, we lost points for our power wire not be restrained like the rules state but we actually won the sound part.was a Diamond Audio sponserd RSX

Did you run rear fill, where was your crossover set.

The main problem with people on this forum is that they want to put 4 way pioneers with "super tweeters" in the back. I have never heard of anyone running full range rears in a comp, but midrange and midbass fill is acceptable. I would rather someone invest that money, if thier not sponsered my diamond, into a higher quality front stage.
