Swap out speakers in my Vert?
I knew i shouldn't have installed that damn subwoofer, cause now i want to go and swap out speakers!! Is it possible for me to simply take out the speakers and put in others? Or will i need to change out everything but the HU? or will i need to repalce taht too? My very has components in the front and the back. Thanks guys!
Is your stereo stock?
I would recommend changing the HU, getting a comp set for the front, throwing your rears in the trash, and amping the front speakers.
Depending on budget, you can get a setup for much less then you probibly think. The most expensive portion will most likely be the hu, but its the source for all your signals.

You're suggesting that i not put any speakers in the rear? Why is that? Also, can you lead me to any nice clean installs for HU's? Sinc eour HU's are s big, i don't really want a Cd/cassette HU, and what else would i do with that huge space? That's my only concern. I was wondering if anybody made a head unit kind of like the caddie's that are a huge screen with buttons on the side or maybe a completely touch screen HU that was double din. That would be awesome. Thanks P. Oh, and everything is stock in my car.

Why do you always want to trash the rears? I think cars sound good with rear andfront speakers.

There are 2 reasons to trash the rears.
First, they move your staging rearward. When you go to a concert do turn around and listen with your back to the stage. If you do rear speakers are great, but if you prefer sound from the front, there is no need for full range rear speakers. If you want some sort of fill from the back, the speakers should not play over around 500hz.
Second, the money you waste upgrading your rears should be spent making the fronts that much better for all the reasons above.
If you look at any sq competitor's car, there will be no rear speakers. I have rears in my wifes car for added volume, but they only low frequencies so they do not harm the soundstage as bad as they could. When I upgrade her car, the rears will be removed so the subs can enter thecabin easier.
Any more questions.....
I would buy a headunit you like that is easy to operate. There are pockets that will the space or plastic trim. Intsall kits will take care of the mounting hole issue, and if you have a separate CD player they have pockets for those as well.
A good set of components
An amp for your front comps.
The amp and comps can run you as little as $200 for good equipment. You can do even better for more.

If you loved them thats all that really matters. I usually find the lower lin MB stuff harsh, but if you like it buy it.
The amp you need would depend on the speakers you decide to buy.
