Hey, I have very little knowledge in sound systems the only thingI have really done is putting in my I Pod adapter. Which is the Isimple and it went directly in the back of my head unit. I have the Shaker 500 and would like to add some more base. I would like to put 1-3 subs in the trunk. I dont really know how to go about this and thats why im asking you guys scince you help a lot of people and really know what your doing. I will also need the subs and an amp for them.
I want to spend as little as I can.
I listen to a lot of rap. All types of rock, hip hop and some techno.
Im going to instal this with some buddies that have a lot more knowlegde then I do about this kind of stuff.
I think this covers it judgeing by the other threads.

What's your budget, give us an estimate, and please don't over-estimate.


1. SPL or SQ?

2. Budget?

3. How much room do you have for a box? Never EVER buy a pre-fab box.

4. You will need all the neccessary wiring + Box + Amp(s) + Sub(s).

5. Why don't you want a comp set? The "base" as you call it....BASS....is only 1/10th of the entire car audio spectrum.

 

I want a little bit of both SPL and SQ more just so you can notice theres something in the trunk. Im not going to be compeating.

I dont want to spend over $300 shipped.

I dont want a complete set because the sound system I have is good enough (IMO). I dont want to go deaf, I just want some noticible bump in the trunk that will also look good when I open it too.
