Default Remote starter question

Does anyone know if you can wire your car to start when you push the red button (panic button) on the key chain? I was thinking about this for the last few days and want to hook up an automatic stater in my car, but don't want to change the key chain remote. I have a 2004 GT vert and would think there is a way to rig this up. If anyone has a clue where to start, let me know.

Manual tranny, so I will have to disable the clutch switch, and I never leave the car in gear.... so this won't be a problem

sounds doable just have to find the circuit that the panic button activates and wire it into your ignition some how only other problem i can think of is having to have the key forward to do it. because you could splice it into the ignition wire to sylinoid but then after you let go it just turn off

the only problem is using the stock remote is that you would have to be pretty close to start your car. as opposed to an aftermarket remote that does the unlock, trunk and remote start that will do it from much further away
