caps arnt realy a waste of money depending on ur system if ur subs are making ur lights dim everytime it hits definetly use and caps dont put strain on ur system the take strain off with outa cap if ur system is too high ur putting alot of strain on ur alternator u can ruin it that way a single farad should be good enough to take the strain off
Stiffening caps put a great deal of strain on the car.

I would suggest an auxillery battery, or an upgraded altenator.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I'm sure you have just been force fed some garbage, in which you inhaled like xanax, because learning car audio is the "cool" thing to do.

Now go impress your 16 year old friends with your inept audio knowledge, of "caps", and Audiobahns sweet new 36" sub that will blow all other drivers out of the water.

I mean really, a 10" is tighter thana 15" and a 15" will hit those low thunderous notes, and a 12" in somewhere in the middle right?

Go for the cap justget a 3 farad cap which you can find online for around 50.00 and make the light dimming go away or as the other bright person said get another battery and add even more weight to the car. hmmmmm hard choice not

Well, considering the capacitator will add an extra load on his altenator, and will hurt his car.

I suggested a better route, that will help his car.

You are suggesting he throw away money.

think about how capasitors work i store enough energy so that when your subs hit hard it doesnt rely on ur alternator or create on big discharge to power your subs in stead your alternator is giving small charge to refill the cap. with out using a cap u will ruin ur alternator. yes there is better ways then using a cap such as upgrading ur alternatoror using a power cell or another battery but using a cap isnt goin to hurt ur car
