Rear seat
Has anyone done a rear seat delete and put their amps and subs in the rear seat area? I have two12' Alpine type R's with two Kenwood 850 watt RMS amps with two 1.5 farad caps at home and it sounded great in my last car. Im just afraid it will be too much when they are right behind me. Im thinking of putting the subs in the rear wall with my 4-channel for my speakers between them with my amps on the bottom of the sear delete. Has anyone done this, if so, do you have pictures and tips on what would be best?
I have 2 W6's where my rear seat used to be with the subs angled toward the tires and the amps up top with a big plexiglass running pony with injected LED's. It's freakin sweet, but my only advice to subs in a vert is you must downfire them otherwise with them being in open air they will overextend and cause all kinds of popping and distortion. I apologize but I don't have pictures or a camera otherwise I would definitely have them up.
The way I was thinking was doing a reverse mount angled so the cones would be facing the tires and the magnets would be firing across the car from passenger to driver and vica versa. With a four channel between them with digi-caps on either side, with my mono blocks on the bottom of the seat with a nitrous bottle between them
Im mainly worried about too much bass and if two subs running almost 1000 watts at 2 ohms would be good in my car or just go with one.
