I would mount them in the trash. Honestly, leds are one more excuse for someone to break into your car, and with a V6 that is really ricerish.

If they are sting style, use some double sided tape or if they are bulbs drill lots of little holes in the plastic under the glovebox and steering wheels.

In general, thieves will break into cars that have stickers, lots of exterior mods, or neon/led lighting anywhere. They will see you drive by with blue lights and assume you have some nice stereo or something of the like.

Just to help with the install by l.e.d.'s you mean strings, bars, or individual bulbs. Each has its own requirements for mounting, and will determine how much light you will have.

if you like the led's then put them in. You could look at getting some plumbers tape or back strap type of material from home depot if you do not want to drill holes.

You might also look into getting some sort of plastic board to mount them in, then mount that to whatever you want light.

A couple questions for you.

1. How are you regulating the voltage and current to the led's?

2. What are the specs of the led's you have?

3. Do you know how to solder, and do you realize what it takes to build a board with 25-50 led's in it?

I was thinking the same thing with PVC that seems the best way to make a light rod.

I would be very weary of using a single resister. Depending on how the resistors and lights are wired, each one might act as some sort of protection for the led. Your best bet will be to use a resistor with every led, but I could figure up an equivalent resistance. But, I'm sure as hell not looking at an equivalent resistance for around 40 leds.

I was thinking the same with the small PVC cut in half. I would do it so your bulb is on the concaved side then when you drill your holes take so vent duct aluminum tape and run that along the entire piece, make it shine a little better. Make sure you do the wiring and everything correct! Have fun
