'02 Vert Radio
Hello
I've done some quick searching and cannot find how to remove the radio out of my 2002 Convritble (v6). I dont have the car with me so I cant go poking around to look, but I do know that the usual 'key' holes aren't visible. I'm looking to upgrade from the 6 cd changer i currently have (i believe its the mach 1 sound system) to one with MP3 playback. Is this possible?
Any help is appreciated.

RE: '02 Vert Radio
Yes it's possible and highly reccomended since the in-dash changers are well known for being junk. To get the radio out start by pulling out the plastic piece thats around the shifter. You will also have to disconnect the plug from the cigar lighter thats connected to it. Now pull out the bezel thats around the radio and vents and unplug the three plugs that connect to it. There will be 9/32 headed screws holding the cd player in. Unscrew them and pull it out. Unplug all the connections to it and your done. Hope this helps. PM me if you need anymore help.

Only website I could find was one that wanted $5 for pictures and a removal guide. I'd go pick up a Chilton/Haynes. It's always handy not just for stereo removal, but im sure it's in there. Or just go to a store that sells them and look at it.

Yeah thanks. Thats the same website I found. I've got the Haynes manual back home in the garage with the car. Unfortunately, the car is 2.5 hours West of me right now. Maybe next weekend I'll be putting her back on the road and will be able to take a look.
Thanks again for all the help.
