The Mach system is a piece of crap and I'm embarrassed that it is in my car.

 

i swapped out the HU on page 2 of my sig and was suprised with some tweeking what you can get out of it.

 

Ahh it isn't that bad, mine's 14 years old and it's not terrible...

 

It's pretty crappy for a so called premium sound system. I was in a guys 05 Dodge Neon withanall stock system and it blows the 460 away. I thought he had a sub in the trunk when I first heard it. What is it about the 460 system that holds it back? The speakers look beefy but they don't produce bass at all.

 

You're telling me that the drivers dont do what they were made to do?

Well its a good stock system form the late 90's The new jeep trucks have R fosgates those thing will blow some aftermarket systems out of the water.

 

You think thats bad, sit in a BMW with DSP from around 98 on. It sounds like poo and was a 3-4k upgrade.

 

I feel bad for the people that actually went out of their way to pay for this system. Part of me is curious how the Mach 1000 and Shaker 1000 sound.

 

its limited by the size of the woofers.

With some tweeking you can make sound good enough to keep until stuff starts blowing.

 

So what should I tweek?
