325 isn't bad, my choice would be a 330i with the zhp performancde package. Over 300 hp and tq from a straight 6, 6 speed and 14.1 in the quarter bone stock.

your installers told you wrong, welcome to the forum. you can get the mach to rock with a little bit of tweeking. I show how I did it on page 2 of my cardomain page in my sig. The bass is less because the factory amps are use to a much higher output level from the factory deck. Depending on how they wired it you probably need to boost the signal to the bass amps which I did through the use of a line driver, it is basically a rca level amp that boosts the rca signal voltage.

You said you put a Line Driver in your car to increase the head unit's power. Does this increase the RMS Wattage?

quit talkin your confusing a line driver with a line out converter...............
So first off, ignor him. I don't know if you would have a higher output wattage, maybe a little but idunno.......

Actually he told you backwards. A line utput converter takes a high level speaker level output and converts it to a low level output.

After installing in Scottsdale for the last 7 yrs I have driven almost everything now. I did not get to drive the Mclaren but I did get to sit in it and make race car noises. I also had the joy of looking for the door handle on a Ferrari 355 for almost 5 minutes before I could start working on it.
Yea bimmers are ok as long as you are in the M series but otherwise I hate them as they are a bitch to take apart and put back togther after running wires.....

Maybe one day you'll be able totake a drive in the ultimate driving machine. The next tow rigfor my mustang will more then likely bean 2002 X5 4.4i. If you've never driven a bimmer, you don't know what you're missing.

ok man i work as a installer at a local car audio place and i have the 460 in my 02 gt. its a real pain in the *** to do anything with the 460. the best bet if u want better quailty sound is to replace everything in the car. get rid of the amps in the rear and just fed the new speakers form the deck. its a lot harder to do it this way but the quailty of the sound makes it all worth it. I have a kenwood 990 deck, a memphis gorilla amp (1000 watts) and a single 12' TDX Diamond... the diamond is the best wooffer on the market!! anyways its ur choice... do all the bull**** for better sound or just leave it the hell alone!

Ttocs, myu bad on the line driver comment. I thought he was misquoting given the more hu power comment.
The line drivers I have seen, never had to use one, basically increase the output voltage of the low level outputs. Its like adding a cable tv amplifier if I remember correctly. I have also seen line drivers with the ability to accept high level inputs. Ttocs told you right, but I believe you misread it about more HU power.
I have taken apart 3 bmw's to put stereos in and they have beena little fun. My wife's 97328i is a joy to drive, even though its a slushbox.
