Default insulation

I've heard this myth that heating and cooling insulation will work just as good as dynomat, is this true and have any you used this method? Also wouldn't it overheat your amp if it traps all heat considering its insulation imo. Any information will be very helpful thank you.

I forget its name, but there is a home insulation that works well, but it has terrible adhesion and will fall off within a few months.

the amp would over heat if you were to wrap the outside of it with the mat but you will be fine if you use it the way it is intended......

Peel and Seal... that is the name of the home insulation. If your amp was also in a very tight enclosed space with no airflow it would also overheat if insulated. Thats really common sence. Heat is a byproduct of energy conversion and it also kills electroncs, why keep the bad hot air in and the good cold air out.
