Default Wiring

I figured I start a new thread instead on rambling on in my other thread.

I bought the wiring for the amps and I ran across this:
Stinger SHR420 Hyper Series Car Audio Interconnect 4 Channel RCA Cable 20'
They take the 4 RCA ends at the Stereoand merge into a single RCA and then turn back into 4 RCA ends at the amp. I think this would be much easier to run in the car. Any thoughts or issues with this type of RCA cable?

If you don't pay 3 times the price its great. If it costs equal or less then 2 separate RCA's sounds like a good plan. Lumping RCA's tongether might be bad if you have a problem withinductive interference, but it also allows to fix it faster.

where do you get this stuff? Inductive interence????? You are definitly an engineer..............

there is nothing wrong with those wires although you do no need to spend that much if you do not want to.

isn't"alternator whine"easier and shorter to say, type, as well as understand?

I am a tech, the engineers I "GET" to work with are only 2 steps away from rainman.... PLEASE DEAR GOD TELL ME YER NOT ONE OF THEM...................

I'm not a rain man type. I would still like to educate others on why you get alt whine and what its really called, but we can do that later.

Its quite simply due to the magnetic field a pulse of electical current creates. The magnetic field induces changes in most low voltage wires within the magnetic field the pulse created, sort of like an eddy current. The voltage difference also plays a key role. You can run power wire next to speaker wire all day because they are both high voltage and high voltage can resist the changes. Running a power wire next to a signal wire is bad because the low voltage in the signal wire is easily manipulated. A speaker wire and a signal wire will have little to no reaction because even thought the speaker wire is high voltage the current pulses are not high enough to create a strong enough magnetic field to induce interference.

Thats at least what my engineering degree has led me to beleive. I am one of the engineers that canusuallyapply thier learnings to everyday life, but sometimes I still nerd out.
