k i have a 88 lx 5.0 stang. the car now has a Clarion DXZ 838 RMP deck with some sort of clarion speakers. i have a problem it doesnt work. the deck has power but theres no sound. i pulled out the deck tody and there was a huge mess with the wires. i was wondering if someone can show the wiring setup for the mustang. i got wires broken up and splited off ever where. any help please.

 

Cut everything, try to keep enough wire so you ahve room to work, go to an audio shop or even best buy and re-install the OEM harness and start over. It'll have the wiring codes included with the harness.

 

quit using foul language in your posts(best buy) and certainly quit sending people there. In this case they would rape him..................

did it work before and just quit? Is there a large metal octagonally shaped box under the radio, with a bunch of holes in it?

 

I meant purchase the car end of the harness. Some people dont have the privelege of having a decent audio shop in their town.

sorry should have givin more detail. theres no box under my current radio. i think what your talking about is the factory amp. what i can see is that theres the factory wires right at the back. then it continues to what i think is the plugs for the factory harness and amp harness. then to my radio. for some reason i think what has been done is that the previos owner might have set everything up to use with a aftermarket amp that was removed from the trunk(the bum didnt give me that amp).
