Default RE: 95GT alarm problem

hey guys, sorry for bringing up an old post, but i still havent solved this. i have looked under the dash for this brain box and i cant find anything, i tried tracing a wire from the siren to the box, but there is no siren, its the horn that goes off, no aftermark siren for the alarm. i have an anti theft box in the trunk, but no keyless entry. ive read something about on some 95's the keyless entry module was under the dash, anyone have any info on this?

thanks
chad

im kind of on the same boat [except mine is a 98 v6]

when i bought it the lady didnt give me the keyless entry, but there was one in the center console [but it was rusted away, and fell apart when i picked it up]
the battery died and the alarm wouldn't let me jump start it, i had to unplug the negative cable for the alarm. it's still unplugged. :\

yeah, i think i have that. but i don't have anything to arm / disarm the alarm. so i don't see a reason for that.

well if u have the factory keyless entry module in the trunk, then all u need to do is buy a key fob remote of ebay. i just bought one last week for 20 bucks shipped. then just program the remote which is easy as pie, and ur good to go. i was stupid and bought this remote cause i thought i had the keyless entry and it was hidden under my dash instead, but by the lack of peoples replies about that, i dont think its the case.

Newb here- Sorry to keep clinging to this post. Bought a 95 GT vert from a widow a week ago and am learning what has been done to the car by the "passed" husband. The valet button - I'm assuming that's what it is - on the steering column very low- is required to be held to start the car. It is the factory alarm system- I found the box in the drivers kick panel showing -1-800-ford-key. This mystery switch has 2 small guage brown wires- 1 connecting to the Ford box - and the other to ground.

Car will start at times without pressing this switch.

The alarm system doesn't beep the horn or flash the lights when activating the double lock on the keyless remote fob either or HAVE a flashing dash "armed" light .
Can the valet feature be turned off? And can the alarm settings be changed to blink lights, horn, armed light etc?

Thanks in advance guys - I'm having a blast with my new ride!!

there is no valet button on a stock system, and the valet button would have nothing to do with starting the car.

Does it lock the doors?

may not be a valet button - just something i picked up on other message boards - all i know is that the box the switch is connected to has a decal with 1-800-ford-key. their site says that only Ford techs can call in for info.
it is plugged into a harness under the dash-one wire coming off of the box to the switch which has to be pressed sometimes to start the car.

the remote fob does open the doors and trunk though - 2 button Ford fob
the under dash switch's only function so far is to be held in to start the car......
?????

i'll take some tonight. also, from reading in other posts - the remote entry setup on 95's is in the trunk. this one isn't - mine is a very late 95 model.......
