I was thinking of getting a flip up screen DVD/CD player for my 2002 Mustang, but I dont want the HVAC controls blocked by the screen when its up.

Has anyone moved the HVAC down to where the radio is and the head unit to where the HVAC was? Or something of the sort to fix the situation?

 

I was debating on getting a flip up DVD player too. I thought it looked really cool. But after seeing pictures of what the flip up looks like compared to the double din dvd players, I went with the Double Din. Most people do the same thing. They look 100% better. I've gotten dozens of compliments on how good it looks in there.

 

go double din. look better and more OEM. less moving parts to break. and most actually cost less than the flip up counterparts.

 

+1 for the double-DIN. MUCH better looking.
