Default Hot to program new transmitter.

Have an Audiovox APS-996a in my Mustang. When I bought the car it only came with one transmitter, a 2 way.

Yesterday I bought a second, one way, transmitter.

How do you program the car to recognize the new transmitter.

Thanks.

Are we talking about an alarm/keyless/remote start system?

Yes Sweight. It's an alarm/keyless remote start system but the keyless and remote functions are not connected.

I need 2 remotes and only have one programmed. The second one is new.

While I have installed countless alarms I have never done an audiovox. I tried looking up a manual for instructions for it but they don't have any available for it.

You can ask a question about it here. It is normally pretty easy and a couple of steps to do.

How do you program the remotes of other brands of alarms?
