Ideallly yuou would always use an aftermarket amp with any sort of speakers. The amps in HU's are very underpowered distortion machines.

ideally yes, do you need an amp for your mids and highs no.....

so would it be possible to run 2 amps from that HU? the mono for the sub and 2 ch. for the doors?
