i found the 460 in a GT in a junkyard, i took the back shelf unit, and the corner front tweeters, if your car isnt wired for the 460 it will not directly wire up, i tried, and failed. you have to run different wires to the battery and to the head unit, from the back shelf unit, and from the corner front tweeters, your back 2 speakers go into 2 clips, and there is a third clip that the 460 requires in the back and the stock system does not provide this harness. your two clips that go the the back speakers are the same wires that power the tweeters of the 460 system but you need this other bigger harness that powers the 2 amps and the 2 6X9's (i think they are 6X9 but they are the same basic shape) i think i agree with everybody else that the 460 is too much work, i put a 12' sub with a 500W JL audio amp and that is MORE than enough bass to satisfy me, i never have it turned up more than 1/3 of the way. the stock speakers are plenty good enough for your highs and mids. and the bass even from a 10 would be more than you need, and enough to rattle the trunk a little if you want that. hope this helps!

hey i put all my own stuff in...if your gonna get new speakers dont go with the 460, its good but you can get way better stuff. first get a good cd player, alpine kenwood, pioneer....whatever, then dicide if you want to power your speakers with that or with an amp(ampwill be louder), if you dothis you will need a 4 channel amp. then if you want it even more kick *** buy some 12's and say bye to your back seat like i didand flip both seats down and put your box right there, if you do the last part you will need another amp to push your subs...all this will sound really good in a stang because the inside is so small, another easy option is to just put subs in with your already existing stock speaker....hope you like my small novel haha

i had to not use my back seats because i have the 460 in my car and in the trunk the plastic surounding the rear speakers comes down to like 11 inches, my box is way too big to fit in the trunk....and if you want to have a decent system you need rear speakers, how is it a proven fact that you dont need rear speakers?
