Default biggest size for subs in a foxbox

well im looking to pick up some audio stuff for my foxbody (hatchback) lx and i go to best buy and without looking at my car the guy tells me the only thing i could fit back in the back is a set of 10's well i dont mind 10's but when u got a deal on two 12's and a box its hard to pass up any idea if they will fit (the dimensions if this will help anyone are 30-1/4"W x 14-1/4"H x 18"D1 x 7-7/8"D2 )

you have a hatch, you can fit almost anything if it is done right and it isn't worth doing unless you do it right....

get the 2 12's, make a custom box for your hatch then sell the other box and pocket the cash

lol yeah i only went in there to buy a cd and figured id see how they would compare to crutchfield (crutchfield won) the guy was like well for a full system installed (all speakers, subs, amp , box, etc) would be 600 and i was like ohhh ok bye cause i know i can do the installation myself and with the deals crutchfield has + free shipping lol its diy time the only thing that concerned me was that box

ive got 2 12"s in my 91 hatch. and the box is pretty big but it fits and it hits like crazy. and i still have some truck space.

I also used to work there and will also say it really really does suck........

Again with a hatch you should not have problems fitting anything in there. I remember seeing 2 stroker 15's in a HUGE box in a mustang hatch........

Sadly enough that guy quoted you a complete best buy system. A real complete system involved high quality front speakers (usually components) and an amp to power them.

You can also do a lot better then crutchfield. What is your budget? What type of music do you listen too?

yeah I had two 12s they pounded really good, the box was store bought though fit nice, even had a bunch of truck space...
