lol. yea but i don't believe he has a power driver's seat. i was thinking about building the boxes so that the subs are firing down. then have a lip on the front of the box so that the box is raised off the floor. i just don't know if the sub will have enough space to move enough air.

Dont build a lip, put feet on it. It's going to be even harder because adding feet is just another 1.5" less clearence you have. With these you can even do 5/8 MDF, you could do 1/2 but I would try and stick with atleast 5/8. You could be doing something that is total depth right at about 5".
