This blows...
I'm just surprised that they went that quick. I called CDT and they said to send them back. Hopefully they'll replace them since I guess it was my fault that they fried. I still don't think I even got the gains up to their 140w RMS range. So I think they were faulty somehow.
Whatever they send back, I will keep the gains all the way down for the first couple of weeks and then work my way up the scale.

I know the amp is pretty strong compared to the comps but I figured they were underrated as well. I also figured the gains would still be higher than they were. It was loud but I've had louder so I didn't think I was at the breaking point at all.
Not only do you really need to keep the gains at zero when you turn everything on for the first time, every speaker has a break in period loosen up the surround and spider, and get the coils warm.
The same thing applies to really cold weather and subs. If you don't let them warm up, odds are you will blow something.
