This blows...
Got my CDT comps put in and got the eD NINe.2x hooked up. I figured I would start getting the gains set. Got the gains about 1/4 turned up, if that, and I can hear the coils sizzle. DAMMIT!!! It was just started to jam too. Sending them to CDT tomorrow. I hope I get replacements soon. I have no sound in my car now. This blows...
I don't see any fuses on the crossovers. You talking about the crossovers that came with the speakers, right? The only fuses that I see are:
-big one by the battery
-one on the HU
-one on the harness for the HU
-2 on the amp

Careful with the nine.2x, it's packing some serious power [sm=smiley20.gif].
And yes there is a fuse in the crossover, take the cover off of it and theres literally only 5 or 6 different things in there you'll know which is a fuse.
I took the cover off and nothing looks like a regular fuse. Here is a link to a picture of it:

It's a little blurry but all I have is my camera phone.
The woofers seem locked up. The cone doesn't move as freely as they did when I got them. One of them won't even move when I push down on the cone, only when I push up.

It definitely smells bad. When it happened, I could smell something burning. I hooked everything up before I turned anything on. I have the crossovers set to -3db, as well.
Ha they are smoked... Sorry dude, call CDT or Woofersetc.com
Wow maybe those don't have fuses in them, I thought all crossovers did. I wouldn't have just plugged them in and cranked them neither. I would lightly tune it, drive with it fro about a week, depending on how much you drive, then when you have time again crank them and do a tune, I actually sat out in my garage last night re-tuning for about 30 minutes, well tuning for about 10 and then jammin out for about 20 minutes
