ok im putting in a new head unit and i need to know how to wire this mess. ive never seen that many wires go to a stock headunit before. is there a diagram i can find?

what system do you have? If you have the 460 you should have two harnesses coming from the car into the stock headunit.... is that what you have? Cause then its simple... you will just need two wiring harrnesses.

yea there is 1 main plug then 2 big plugs, ground type wire and then the aenena wire thats just in the main 1 then there is the cd drive

go to wal mart or something of that kind and they have adapters that you plug the harnesses into and wire your new head unit to, what componts you going with?

ok i have the same one you have and it took me awhile to figure it out.....theres a external amp you can see sitting in the bottom of the dash under the radio...its silver...i took this out. In the wiring harness you buy one will clip into a harness for speakers....the one that come out of the amp is for the speakers.....the other one thats a wierd shape with the orange red yelloow and black wires is you power and anopther hrness will connect to that....that one small ground that plugs into the back of the radio is just for the amp dont worry about that

Yeah go with adaptors saves you big time if you even want to return to stock 1 of the best investments in audio just get a good one!! there are ****ty adaptors that dont make good connections......

are u sayin that i use the stock amp with a a/m headunit? and where can i get the adapters and also the fillerfaceplates for the cd player hole?

there is a tray to replace the CD player, id just gut everything and go with a bunch of aftermarket componets
