so it's cheaper to buy everything online and have it installed locally? Is this the general concensus?

You have $5k to spend? Ohh this will be fun. Where do you live, you can prolly take your car to eD, they may even come get it, and they can do literally anything you want.

http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=35$200 Subwoofer
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=46$220 Front stage amp
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=47$275 Subwoofer amp
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=50$325 Front stage
http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/pro...products_id=29$100 each, door subwoofers. Silver or black, your choice.
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3798$1400 Eclipse video double-din

eDead, sound deadening, you will spend maybe $100 depending which kind you go with. Could spend as little as $50 even.
Here is a guide as to how crazy you can get with the sound deadening, you can basically have a mobile music hall with hearing nothing but pure music when your doing 85 down the highway. If you want to go totally crazy and do everything like you will see in this link http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/ele...edeadwhere.phpanticipate spending anywhere from $400-$800.
Your enclosure I wouldn't suggest doing an IB subwoofer application, but with eD subwoofers you can. I would do a nice fiberglass box. This could cost you maybe $300 to have done.
Wiring they can hook you up with everything or knukoncepts or whoever they have dirt cheap and good kit's. You will have about $125-$175 with all of your wiring and rcas, connectors, fuse and stuff.

Dont even think about wasting a dime on a capacitor. Definatly upgrade your battery and the big 3 kit, and you'll be just fine. You wont have any charging issues with this type of system. If you want eD to install this talk to them about doing it, I have no idea what they charge, they can help you with the process by doing it for you or give you a reference as to where to get it installed in your area. They have many authorized installers around the nation. You can get ahold of them by phone or their online chat during store hours. Great guys up there, if you get the chance to go up there, you'll be blown away by their hospitality. You can check out my little experience when I went by the shop, it's in the thread in here titled Elemental Designs... Here it is https://mustangforums.com/m_3147567/tm.htm
