I have an 04 gt convert, and with the top down I need to crank it up so I can hear it over the wind and exhaust..and when I do, even with the bass at 0, it sounds like crap when I play techno.Nothing is blown out, it isjust in my opinion a crappy system. My wife's05 grand prix gtp has a much bettersounding system (as did my 94 firebird monsoon).If I want a bit more bass and better power handling without spending a ton of cash, can I just get new speakers to increase performance, or do I need to replace everything (newhead unit/amp/speakers) to get better sound? I know very little about car audio, so suggestions are totally welcome. I don't need to shake walls, I just want it to get louder without severe distortion (and a bit more bass). The stock 6 disc changer is convenient, so I kind of want to keep it but I hate the sound I currently get.
