Default SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO

Hey everyone,
Seems alot of people want SIRIUS satellite radio in their vehicles. BUT want to use their stock OEM stereo which is the SHAKER 500 or Shaker 1000. I have a 2007 Mustang with the pony package, which has the shaker 500.

Alot of satellite tuners for ford vehicles can be found on e-bay, for a good price, MOST of these auctions do not include an antenna or wiring harness.

If you purchase a sirius satellite tuner from e-bay just make sure it is a FORD SIRIUS SATELLITE TUNER. On top of the tuner it should have the ford logo. My tuner came out of a 06 ford f-150

If your tuner does not have a wiring harness or an antenna, they can be purchased aftermarket.
I purchased my magnetic antenna and a wiring harness from
ZARB ELECTRONICS in Corona,CA. (951) 279-0485 his name is Mike.
Tell him exactly what tuner you have, and you want to keep your car stock. The wiring harness # should be 2U6F-14588-BAM,

Mike charged me $60.00 dollars for the harness and $30.00 for the new magnetic antenna.

So I purchased a tuner for $149.00 on e-bay, added the new antenna for $30.00 and the wiring harness for $60.00 and the grand total is..............................................$2 39.00, which is a bargin compared to what the dealer wanted. I think it was 600 bucks.......

Visteon also makes and aftermarkert tuner, with antenna and wiring harness, but It is about 300 bucks.

In a nutshell, YOU CAN purchase a tuner on e-bay and buy aftermarket parts to make it work great. I love my satellite radio.

Maybe this can be a sticky for all the Sirius satellite questions
