Ok. I've given it some thought and in June I want to redo my entire sound system. I'm going to gut the entire mach system and go with the following-

Clarion MAX675VD Multimedia in dash monitor
CDT ES-610 components in front
(2) Elemental Design 11Ov.2 subwoofers
(2) .5cF sealed boxes
Elemental Deisgn NINe.4 (components)

Give me any positive/negative feedbacks you have! I can't wait to do this and actually do the work!

 

Are you powering the entire system with the Nine.4?

I think you'd be happier buying two 2 channel amps to power those woofers.

 

How about a nine.2 for your CDT's and a nine.2x for the 11Ov2's.

oh, sorry guys! i meant to ask about that. If i can use one amp for both subs i would like to do that. What would be best to power both those subs together? I want to make sure i get them enough power but would like to do it with one amp.

 

I would use a single Nine.1 or Nine.2x for the subs. In either case I would get dual 4 ohm subs.

For the mids/highs I would definately get a nine.2 or nine.2x.

 

Exactly my thoughts, but I was just steering away from the nine.2x for to front stage unless you have a really serious front stage. Seemed like having that much power is what may have hurt pikuoff's CDT's. You know that X is packing alot of power, more than it's rated, we are using eD ratings remember, they are very very conservative on their ratings.

Your box you dont need to build two actually separate boxes, unless your wanting to like put one on each side of the trunk, but if you put them in one box you will want to have them in separate chambers.
