Id go with a different sub IMO, it looks like this is a very budget oriented project? good HU, ive got the same one(older) Even an alpine sub would be better i think, i push JL subs alot, and amps. Whats the budget?

I also have the same HU and I Pioneer subs usually don't sound very good in my experiences.

i'm def going with that headunit,

i'm now considering elemental designs gear for subs and amp for the subs?

what do you guys think for a dual slimline setup from Elemental?

i was actually thinking about doing that as well. i have all Alpine stuff right now, and the speakers and subs aren't that good (and i have Type-Rs). i need my box to be shallow enough so that my shock tower is exposed in the trunk (to use a shock tower brace), and my current box just covers it. so the slim subs would fit perfect.
