No you will not see a lot of ED's in comps but they are a great ll around woofer. The gen 2 XXX is a phenominal piece of engineering, but the BTL's are designed to pretty much the same capacity of the last gen XXX. Fi car audio is designed by the engineers that started RE before they got purchased by US Amps.

I don't dislike DD's at all, I think Jesse and company design some of the best SPL woofers on the market, but for a daily driver I prefer my music to sound like music, not bass farts.

 

first off mojos were the number 1 comp sub last year so most definatly not junk. Second you will never find a XXX for 300 bucks. Yes they are better than the mojo but not for the price. The mojo is by far the best buy for the money. and any DD you will get for 300 most likely will not compete with the mojo or btl or fi subs. If your going to spend more than 300 on a subwoofer there are better options than what i gavce such as the XX X and the highers dd's and **** But nothing will compete with a mojo for the money.

 

So for an all around sound system, ED is a good way to go? I've been searching on their site, seems pretty impressive.

 

I thought mojo's were like $1500, but I was thinking of the LVS... My bad.

XXX are (were) pretty phenomenal. Since they are $1200 now I sure as hell wont be buying one.

Sucks Adire is eating **** right now otherwise I would throw out the that the Tumult is a beast. I prefer the Tumult over the XXX, but thats just me.

I think in an all around sense, yes eD is very hard to beat.

Then you will only have $7200 to go! Those are no where near worth $7500, you can get just as loud for alot less. Not to mention, if you went MTX with the amps of course... You'd need 10 of the biggest amps they sell, at $1000 a pop. Plus 8 more batteries, a custom alternator, hundreds of feet and pounds worth the wiring. I think I can whip together a much better stereo for $25,000. And then I will atleast have something besides bass.

 

This winter I wanted to do something really custom using different size subs, but they recommended not to due to having to mess with connections and all. I could amp the different subs separately, so we'll see. I'm hoping to do it this winter/spring once my turbo/exhaust is finished.

 

TMCLASS i wanna see that record or link that says they were #1 comp sub last year????? Cause im calling B.S. Ha ive been to atleast 8 comps last year and 2 so far this year and guess what didnt see memphis anywhere!!! But ive got to see the link where memphis was voted #1 spl sub find that and ill give u my car today.

Last i checked: DD was #1 Cactus was#2 RE was#3 and Atomic was #4. But what do i know i only compete in DBDRAG

LOL for 300$ id get a CV Stroker and watch that bad boy bounce all over a mojo. Sorry cat Memphis is MTX. Sledgehammer lol boat anchor.
