I would'nt do it for 2 reasons.
-260 Max watts is low IMO for a speaker that size, 50 Watts RMS(that matters) is super low.
-I've never been impressed by Pioneers products.

Only thing Pioneer has in the car audio market that is decent is their top of the line headunits. Otherwise I would stay away from them.

I would stay away from coaxial speakers all around, your better off getting a set of components and running an amplifier to them. You'll be much happier with the sound.

Oooh yeah, Alpines are some of the best around.
Might want to check out Kicker, Fosgate, MTX and I heard Elementel Designs have some good mid-ranges that you'll like.

eD don't make any coaxials. It's not worth spending $100 on some coaxials when you can get components for the same or slightly higher and have uncomparable performance between the two.

X2

If you can buy a set of comps, amp and wiring for around $150-200 why on earth would you spend $100 a pair on some coax's. The sound quality and volume between the two won't even be comparible. The comps will blow the coax's away.

Yeah but I'd rather have the convenience of concealed speakers that fit where my stock are.
You've obviously never owned Fosgate Coax's have you.

Thats gotta be a P.O.S amp if you can buy it for $100. When I buy a speaker, I don't waste money, I buy top of the line or not at all.

You can easily mount everything and not have it showing, if anything is showing it's generrally a tiny tweeter. If you have mach system the tweeter pods show anyway...

Your right I never have own RF speakers, and with good reason.

No it doesn't have to be a junk amp, you just have to know what your buying and how to get reliable equipment for a good price. Profile amps are cheap, reliable and true rated. Total is another great example. $100 4 channel amp that I am running a $125 15" Tempest, and a set of $100 CDT components. Sounds good and the Tempest is extremly loudfor only being fed 200 watts. Thats one heck of a budget system that sounds days better than just about anything you can buy at Best Buy for any price.
