Default Speaker Line Tap VS Deck hookup

How much quality will I lose by tapping into existing speaker wires for a signal to an amp rather then using an aftermarket deck speaker output?

soem might argue that its a bad signal/etc, i would imagine.... but two vehicles I helped my friends to this on, it turned out nice actually. They kept thier factory stereo and added in some serious volume and bass.

I wouldnt hesitate to do it if you are in question.

About the same as you would if you drove your car how it is now and if you shoved a potato in both of your exhaust pipes.
