I put a MacMini under my arm rest and mounted a 7" touch screen in between the two central AC vents.

The touch screen really could have done with being sunlight readable down in FL but it will be better when I get it back to the rainy UK!

I'll take some photos when I get the car back if any one's interested.

 

Wow, I can't wait for pics of this. Are you running the rest of your system off of the computer? Or is it independent of the stereo? Wireless internet?

 

I run all media off the computer (mp3's, TV shows, movies etc) and put it through the aux in under the arm rest. I have wireless internet which just requires me to sit outside a starbucks. There are mods that give you wireless for about 2 miles but it's an extra $200 and the system already cost $1000 for the Mac and the screen. I've got a mini USB keyboard that I use. It was originally designed for PS2 controllers so is nice and compact!

Yeah it's got the standard Shaker 500 system. The mac's sound goes through the aux in. This way I retain the sirius

I will post pics as soon as I get the car back... hopefully it will be in one piece and not full of rust after the trans atlantic crossing in about 5-6 weeks... fingers crossed guys!
