I've never dabbled much in the audio area of cars but I'm thinking its about time I started. I have a '02 GT with the stock Mach system in it. I want to upgrade my system to where people know I've done work before they see it. What do you all recommend? Brands? Cost? Self Installation or Pro? Any Info helps... Thanx

The cost is up to you. If you want a lot of noise, we can set you up. If you want full range quality we can also set you up.

What is your budget, and what type of music do you listen too?

So you want it to be loud
Too many to list (will explain)
Cost depends how far you want to go, if your on a budget... $800 easily, something great all around $1800,higher end stuff$3500, top of the line $6000.

Self installation for sure. If you doubt your own craftsmanship that is.

What kind of budget you have in mind?
What kind of music you listen to?
Anything you have seen that you like?
You want it loud, do you also want it to sound really good, or just all out loud?
Do you need leftover trunk space?
You need iPod, satellite radio or navigation?
Is a dvd player with a screen something you were interested in?

I'm on a bit of a budget, under $1000 preferrably, the less the better. While I want to upgrade my audio my engine still has first priority. I'm usually listening to rock/metal but every so often a little rap, I'm into the bass for sure. I'm really looking for qualtity not just nosie. Would like left over trunk space, and I dont want to add alot of weight, again the performance takes priority. No need for ipod or satellite, would like to keep the stock radio/cdchanger if possible, no dvd player or screens needed.

I'll save the pros the trouble- fastest way to more quality sound is to get rid of that crappy mach head unit.

$1000 will be easy since you dont need iPod or similiar and dont need screen or anything crazy.

Most of this you will find at woofersetc.com
Eclipse CD-5000 $300
CDTEF61FG-$200

eD
13Ov2-$175
2-nine.2 $220 One for front stage and one for woofer.

Wiring you can get anywhere, Tsunami and Knu Konceptz are both great if your on a budget.
Build your own enclosure for the woofer. Cost you $20 in materials. If you want to have some extra boom, make sure you do a vented enclosure, or you could also go with the 16Ov2 woofer, you'll get some extra cone surface resulting in more air movement if you want to be sure you have enough bass. It's only $10 more.

Check that stuff out, let us know if you have any questions or concerns with any of it, or if you want some alternatives we can do our best to get you what you want. But that would be a great all around system, it's all strait up great performing stuff. No add-ons or flashy features.
