If you have an Alpine, while the cd is in hold in on the button for volume, then turn volume up and down to get letters and press it in again to go to the next. It will hold the memory for 50 cds I think and it reads it when you put it in. Also some that are burned copies also will have the text in them as well.

It is all about if the information is in the properties of the music file you burn. Lets start with where you got the music that you burned. If it came from an existing real (store bought) CD then it should already have the correct info to be displayed. If the files were something you downloaded (legally I’m sure) them it may not have the appropriate info. You can easily check the properties of the file on the computer by finding the song, on the computer, which is not displaying correctly on the stereo and right clicking it. When the menu box opens select the last option, which is Properties. The fist image below should be what appears. Now select the Summery tab at the top and the box should appear as the second image below. Here’s the part that matters, make sure that the info is correctly filled out for the Artist and Album Title. If it is not select the blank space to the right of these and enter the correct info. After you have filled in the Artist and Album Title you should select the Apply button at the bottom and select OK. Now test the results by burning a CD with a few of these newly formatted songs. Hope this works out for ya. If not , well I tried.
