Default My Most Ghetto Install EVER!!!

I wasbored on Sunday so I just threw some stuff I had laying around the house in the mustang.

HU - Clarion CD player with front and rear RCA's plus a remote (The remote is handy when you are tryign to reach to the glove box)
Fronts - Boston Acoustic 6.5's in screwed together rings made of MDF (Will be replaced with infinity reference mids, CDT tweet, and rockford crossoverswhen I get another set of rca's run to the amp
Amp - Profile HA740 (Rear channels bridged to subs, front channels soon to front speakers
Sub - Visonik 10" I bought to blow some time ago (It came with an amp and was a total of $20)
Wiring - Left over from various isntalls and a $10 wal mart fuse holder

Here are some pics of what a good stereo does not look like.

The source unit

A pic of the HU in the glovebox

The driver side kick

The passenger side kick

The all mighty subwoofer!

Never mount an amp to the back of a box.......

I'm almost embarrased to show this becuase of the low quality of work, but consider the car its currently in and it will soon be replaced with very nice equipment when the car is close to being done.

Sound how it looks, thats how

Your kicks are awesome P... Very stealth-like.

As low end as the equipment is and... quick/non visually apealing the install is...

I bet this sounds better than alot of peoples equipment and installs they spent several hundreds of dollars on at BB though [sm=wootwoot.gif]

When I was 14 and bought a pair of Pioneer woofers I mounted them in the cardboard boxes they came in, of course I sealed all the edges with duct tape, not a single air leak after I did that sweet little addition. Then I built a box for one of them, or of 1/2" plywood (no not partical board, or that chip board crap, REAL plywood) then lined the inside with carpet padding and drilled 2-2" holes in the top of the box. At the time I didn't realize you needed actual tubing for them to be an actual port.

Ahh the good old days...

It actually really doesn't sound that bad. It is a little hard to hear with the exhaust as loud as it is.

When I either power the bostons with the amp, or throw in the comps it will sound even better!

The only CD I've played so far is Wolfmother....
