Setup under way!
Another quick question fellas, should i sell the NINe.4 and the sony amp and just buy the NINe.5? or should i keep the NINe.4 and buy another amp for the subs. For the 2 11Ov.2's i think iwould run them at 1 ohm, unless there is a way to wire them for 2 ohm, but i couldn't find it for one amp to run both.
The sub channel on a NINe.5 is plenty for a pair of 11Ov2's. You can go either route, whether it be sell this or that and get the NINe.5 and buy a mono for your woofers and keep using your NINe.4 for the fronts or anything you want. Reghardless I would ditch the Sony amp.
I would buy a new mono, or sell both and buy a NINe.5. I would buy a NINe.5 right now if it wasn't for me needing a a solid 1000 watts for a Brahma and then a 13Av in November... The NINe.5 is a super solid and very versitale,(wtf sp.???) amplifier.

The thing I dislike about the Nine.5 is that I have no use for a 5 channel amp. I would much rather have a high quality 3 channel with around 200 watts for the fronts and around 1k for the sub channel.
well, i am now the proud owner of an eD NINe.1! Just bought it. Now i need to get my 11Ov.2's! So it is now like this-
NINe.1
NINe.4
Custom dual 10" enclosure at 1.0 cu ft
NEED to buy
CDT EF-61FG
(2) 11Ov.2's
Clarion MAX675VD
I still don't understand setting the gains though. I understand how to use the multimeter but not how to figure out how much you can run to certain things.

Did you get the NINe.1 off eD's site or off eBay or something. Do this if you bought it from eD when you go to buy the 11Ov2's talk to them and just say i didn't have the money for it all at the time but I bought a NINe.1 and now im getting a pair of 11O's can you hook me up with the discount on the woofers this time around? Cause if you would have bought the NINe.1 and the 11O's you would have got 15% off everything.
Setting the gains, I would use the manufacturers ratings, not to doubt your ability, but P has alot of experience and knows exactly how far he can push his system. For you, for the time being set the gains so your getting the correct amount of output per the manufacturers RMS rating. If you get comfortable with everything and wont be pissed if you pop something, turn it up a little...

They only built the NINe.5 because of customer demand, hmmmmm

How about a 200 watt @ 2 stereo front, 900 watt @ 2 sub channel... Email them. Tell them 1000 people on MF want one. They'll build it.
They just need to put a NINe.1 and a NINe.2 on the same chassis. I guarantee thats why they wont build it because it would only be like $50 cheaper in the end to have both of those on one chassis than it would to buy a 9.2 and a 9.1 separate.
The only thing that sucks about a braxial is the directionality of high frequencies from the tweet. Tweeters generally point their sound in the direction they are pointed and are much more focused then then thier low frequency counterparts, ie the woofer.
