my 93 gt has the base sound system and the door speakers dont workfor some reason. can anyone tell me of a good place to get subs and all the speakers that would normally go into the car. any recomendations on head units amps and subs would be great too.

How much would you like to spend. You can get a great complete aftermarket system for as little as $500

 

ide probably like to spend 800-1000 for the complete system. that doesnt factor in instalation because my cousin will do it for me for free. are there any good wholesale sites or sites that sell last years stuff for a discount?

 

You can get a great system for $800, do you already have an aftermarket Headunit.

 

Well if you're looking for recommendations, how about giving a little detail on what you're looking to accomplish. Do you need something lightweight? Do you want a system with better quality sound or would you rather just be loud? Or do you just want it to work with OE.

If your speakers stopped working, check your wires on the speaker side they may have jiggled off over the years, or your stock deck may have bit it. I'm not familiar with the stock sound system in any pre 96's so I can't really be much help but I'll try.
