Default factory amp CAN fry!

Im really stoked, my factory amp roasted my kenwood 6.5s today. I thought that they were stock speakers, but they are some BestBuy grade deals. It did this at 50db, so basically, guys that go cheap on speakers(previous owner of my car) will get pwnt for that cheapness.

The cost of a speaker has nothing to do with it. You were more then likely clipping the hell out of the speaker, and not even the nicest, most expensive driver will put up to that abuse forever.

the size of the amp also has nothing to do with it. You will blow more speakers with a 14 watt cheap radio then you would with any 1000 watt beast of an amp.......
