Alright i need a little help, i have an amp that i want to wire up an toggle switch toso i can manually turn the amp on and off.

i think i have an idea on how to wire it up but i just want to know if its gonna work before i screw anything up or get electricuted!

SO HERE's MY PLAN
i run the positive wire from the toggle switchto the battery, and then run my ground wire from the toggle switchto a good ground, and thenrun the remote turn on wire from the amp to the togle switch. Is that the right way to hook up the toggle switch to my amp?

you can get those at almost any autoparts store but your wiring is 10 times harder then it needs to be.

there are 3 contacts on the switch but you only need to use 2 of them(the middle and one of the ends). Run the remote turn on wire from the deck, to the switch(either side), and then from the other pin on the switch to the amp remote turn on. You do not need to touch the constant or the ground. This will allow you to cut power on the remote turn on, which will turn your amp off.
