2 ohms will result in less impedence, which means less heat and more power transfer. You will have to consult with the sub manufacturer to determine what will be the best cubic air space for your subs. You can use a smaller box for a sealed design, however, ported and non-ported boxes will give a different frequency response range. The sealed box will hit much lower frequencys, most of which you cant hear anyway, ported will give higher frequency response. You may have to have the box custom built to suit your needs. Generally, if you stay in meduim on recomended box size, it will be best for overall sound. For example, a 15" Kicker requires 2.75 to 5 cubes, I would build my box to 3.5 cubes. Good luck, and post some pics of the finished product.

o ok thanks. however, i still dont know if the amp i have can push the three subs. technically, they match up with rms but i dont want to overload the amp with three subs. also, im not even sure all three will fit in my trunk.

id advise that you have everything installed professionally. after looking at the wiring and everything involved from my install, it would be pretty tough to do yourself.

Thats really not a bad price, I paid 350 for my custom enclosure, and I already had my amp installed.

Building a box and installing car audio equipment is simple. You just ahve to pay attention to details, measure twice, cut once, and ask for help along the way. Generally I put my subs in smaller then recommended enclosures and it yeilds the best sound quality but sacrifices a tad of loudness. A well build ported enclosure can make any woofer loud as hell and still sound decent.

A couple questions...

Are those speakers dual 4 ohm speakers?

Is your amp 0.5 or 1 ohm stable?

Why audiobahn?

what size are the subs? I would think that the amp can handle the three, but maybe not as well as some other amps.
