Default RE: HELP!!! subs/trunkspace 2001 mustang

I need to know the voice coil configuration of your subs. I wish you could have heard some other brands first, but you purchased the audiobahnsbecuase you liked them. Nothing wrong with that.

Are your subs DVC 4ohm that can be wired to 2 ohms or 8 ohms, are they DVC 2 ohm subs that can be wired at 4 or 1 ohms, or are they SVC 4 or 2 ohm.

Basically, should have a number next to where you connect the set of wires that either says 2 or 4 and then will have an upside down horseshoe next to it. I will also need to know if it is possible to connect one set or two sets of wires toeach sub. Each sub should be marked the same way and have the same number of inputs, but checking this is very important.

Regardless of what you tell me on the VC's (voice coils) the amp is overrated and the subs cannot handle half that max power rating. I think everything should work well together.

Getting me the right info on your sub's vc's is very important, becuase without this info I have no idea how to tell you to wire it so that your amp doesn't catch fire or you are producing too little power to let the subs play loud.

After I get this info, we can talk about the box you will need to build. Will you want all out loudness? (I am assuming sound quality doesn't matter if you like audiobahns) A ported enclosure to around 35hz should sound ok, and get louder then hell, but it might be a little difficult to make for 3 woofers. I've done it before....
