Default amp without subs

does it make any difference for clearer sound or more power? i dont want subs b/c i dont listen to rap or bassy music. but will an amp make everything clearer than how it is now with a jvc deck and stock speakers? would the difference be worth the money?

you'll blow out those stock speakers in no time

you also wont get the full benefit of an amp without some good speakers- get urself some Infinity Kappas and hook em up to an Alpine amp.

Yes you will get more clarity out of your speakers, with aftermarket speakers. The stock speakers are like 30 watts each, as to aftermarkets can be 90-150+ watts each. And you wont blow your speakers unless you power them too much. if you over power ANY speakers then they will blow. But there is no point in powering stock speakers with an amp, because they cant handle it. If you have aftermarket speakers, the amp will give you a more crisp clear sound, id say go with a 400 watt rms 2 channel amp, and for your components go with a solid name brand. But dont power stock speakers

ok, i dont really listen to much music when i drive (i like my magnas), but when summer comes and i hit the beach (3-4 hour drive) ill want some better sounding speakers for sure. i dont want to spend alot for speakers, but what are some good brands for all 4 speakers (6"x8") and i definitely like the alpine amp.

For your needs, just hit Best Buy or Circuit City and listen to them. From there find something that meets your budget/price preference. Or after listening hit ebay and the boards looking for used gear. I'd say you should be able to find what you want for under 300ish.

Kicker is the best bang for the buck, I would also go with pioneer for speakers just dont get sony cuz sony BLOWS! oh yeah and the speakers are 5x7's or you can fit 6.5's in the front for more clarity.
