Dude get one 10 in the trunk or something Even if you don't listen to rap, eveything sounds bettter with a sub man.....bass guitar, bass drum sound so much better. But if not then yes you will need new speakers and a nice 4 channel amp to run them. I have JL TR's all around with a Crossfire 400 watt amp....sounds amazing.

Default RE: amp without subs

i just my pioneer deck installed at best buy yesterday and was looking at speekers also. not impressed. i went to my local stereo shop. i priced out:
MB quart 5x7(i think) w/ crossovers rce268 $299
MB quart componets dve168 $144
JL stealth box (10inch) $499
alpine 5 channel to run everything mrv-f450 $459

if i do get the alpine amp then the pioneer goes into wife's eclispe and i get the alpine dvd/nav system!

i absolutly HATE rap crap. but trust me and the others when we say that a sub or more will just enhance the sound so much more.
