I used to use it as a cell phone holder.

you can get face plate when you buy the radio. it fills in the space with a little storage comparement for sunglass, or cell phones. as for the wire harnessmost places that sell radios will have what you need. you will also need a 5volt regulator so when you turn on the radio you don't get a pop from your speakers. the factory amps only need a 5volt remote the new radio will be 12volts.

when you buy the dash install kit it has a little plastic compartment for the bottom part as said.

just go to bestbuy or any audio shop and tell them you need a wiring harness for a (whatever year you have) mustang. since you have the mach if your going to use the existing amps from that system youll need to do a few things, theres a sticky somewhere that tells you what you have to do to make em work. otherwise you will have no sound cuz the amps arent getting turned on.
