Default fog light wiring

i am surprised i could not find this on a search. i Have a set of fog lights and the button but want to be able to turn them on and off when ever i please. None of this only when headlights are on and not when highbeams and park light stuff? i want it to be on and off from a switch but a factory one. i dont car if its next to the rear defogger or by the shifter. The catch is i want them to go off with the ignition. How would i wire this? Please be specific......

the easiest way would be to hardwire your fog lights to the switch just like an after market set. then find a ignition switch controlled item inside your car i.e. like your radio and wire it into that for power. that way the only way for the switch for the fog lights to get power is if the ignition key is on. the hardest part is going to be finding a point that does what you want and has enough power to run the lights.

I would recommend having them on/off with the parking lights rather then on their own switch.

Both of my foglights dont wok. Im assuming its the blown fuse for my foglights, but I cant find a schematic for 2001 GT circuits. Can anyone be of assistance.
