Default Sub install wire splicing

Im getting ready to install my sub and amp on friday when they get here. My question is: when running the remote turn on wire and installing the line output converter is it ok to hook the wiring up to male and female crimp on quick disconnects? Or should i just solder and heatshrink everything in? Also i have a full fiberglass box and it would be easier to drill a small hole and fill around it with silicone instead of a terminal cup. Could i use the crimp on connectors here for quick removal if i want to go to the track or should i just install the terminal cup?
