hey i just bought a kenwood cd player for my 89 lx. i have everything hooked up with the wiring harness, and when i turn on the cd player, everything lights up and looks like its working, but i get no sound. any suggestions on what the problem might be?

 

with something like that, just make sure the connections are good where u connected the harness to the cd player. U could've pulled something loose when u slid it back in place.

 

did you have sound before on your old radio....what i would do is take you cd player and hook it up to a 12 volt source and hook a speaker any small speaker will work(3 1/2 works good)....and if doesnt work then its the deck the speaker leads are blown.....if i does work then the problem is in the car.....maybe that will help..........not be rude but was the radio on mute???????,,,,,,,
