hiss you have such a great way of introducing stuff.

any shop will probably tell you that as you go out the door. It is common for stuff to come back that is blown and EVERY adjustment on the amp to have been messed with and a confused look on the customers face as though they don't know how it happened when their cousin bubba who has done a WHOLE BUNCHA his friends cars said that he knew more then the best buy people and could make it sound better and was in there for about 20 mins before it quit working. Bubba said that its a bad ground but you should fix it.

What the installer was trying to tell you is that if you do not know anything about audio, or less then the best buy installer(which we have established) it would be best to leave all the settings alone. It would also be best to keep bubba, bubba's kids, and bubba'a nephews away from it as well as any and all liquids, food, animals including the family cat..

But yes it is your stuff you can do what you want with it. You can damage equipment by messing with the adjustments and I have seen an rca catch fire(which is REALLY cool as long as its not in your car!) it was not from messing with adjustments.

First, when someone sends you a PM you shouldn't make threads about them. Why you might ask? Probably because PM stands for Private Message.

Second of all, when i say alot of bump i mean it hits hard.

Next comment: Seth says i made a fool of myself. Funny b/c all my info. was good besides the fact i said a sub with high ohm is loud instead of rms. I was typing and not paying attention. I switched the terms around I don't reread my post before i post it.(i guess you guys do and like wasting time) So i probably will have a typo in this. Also another thing that is funny is Hiss thinks he is a baddass and he tries to insult me over the internet, so i retailated and obviously whether he is right or wrong you guys are going to side with him b/c he has rep. on this forum section and has been here a while. More people came in and just tried to insult me instead of answering the original thread. So i think it is you guys that are making a fool of yourself. I'd also like to add what is the purpose of this thread, does Hisss just want to insult me or does he crave attention. A simple PM reply would have been fine. Anyways i could go on forever.......literally forever on this subject, but i hope you guys understand the situation, before calling someone ignorant. B/c of a matter of fact you maybe the one ignorant, not me.

I now realize why Hisss the "guru of audio" is not a moderator and never will be.

Im just guessing that none of you guys popped out of the womb knowing everything about car audio so it would be fair to give this guy the same benefit of the doubt. Sounds to me like hes just trying to learn and you guys just s#itted on him for not knowing the answer to the question he was asking.

 

Yes, Hiss is probably not the nicest person in the world. He's blunt, very blunt. And he does think that he is the Audio God. He may be right.
And I know several people who screwed up their system because, they MESSED WITH IT.
And John, chill out okay. If you're gonna be confrontational, go ahead, but you'll lose. Because even though Hiss bugs me at times, he knows what he's talking about.
