I have a 2004 gt 5 speed. I used to have an auto 97 and there was a grommet right next to the driver side valve cover that I used to route my power cable. But on my 04 the shifter cable or something is there and I dont know how to get the cable into the cabin. Just wondering where some of you have put yours through or if you can help me out and tell me where to put it.

 

I cut a hole a little smaller than the power cable in the HUGE grommet on the driver side of the firewall. There are a lot of wires passing through it already. Check out my write up.

 

Yeah, I did the same thing.
Great place to sneak the wire under the carpeting right there.

 

i usually just drill a new hole and put in a new grommet.
