It is not difficult to do, if you have experience with electrical. But if you do not feel comfortable with diode isolating and relays, definitely do not do it yourself.

There is no difference. Most shops will not hook them up in a manual because of the liability. You just have to make sure you have your E Brake on.

You should ask your ford dealer who they recommend to install that component. I did and am thrilled with it - they handle all my questions and issues with all my A/V stuff. The other person is right, though, it's NOT legal in some states to hook up remote start in manual tranny cars, so be careful and ask around. Ford's remote start is great, but I wouldn't mess with other aftermarket parts here. I'm sure others disagree, but with the techs I have available to me, I'd rather stick with stock and Ford parts as much as possible. :-) PM me if I can be of more help; I dont frequent this site, but I'd be happy to email you.

You can get it donealong withyour alarm or you can just buy the remote starter by itself... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1142299957053
I wouldnt do the installmyself, I would be too afraid of messing something up, have it done proffessionally. Its better to get it done the first timerather thantrying to do it yourself and have someone fix your mistakes...
